About Us

Nirja Vikas Vardhini is a voluntary grass-root, Non-Government organization based in Ahmednagar district since 2001 for development of Tribal & Rural Women through vocational training programs and different developmental activities. The organization is taking efforts for development of Vulnerable and marginal populations in Sangamner & Akole (Rural, Hilly & tribal) area. The main objective of the organization is to enhance the quality of life of women through imparting knowledge and skills and also improve the status of Tribal & rural poor women by ensuring better access to social & economical resources through different training programs.

WHO WE ARE

Nirja Vikas Vardhini providing technical training in the field of beauty & wellness since 2001. Technology has dynamic role in development of a society. The urban area is much more technically developed than the rural area. People living in rural areas are denied of access to technology. If the girl students from these areas are able to get technical education, this will not only help them to achieve livelihood but will also help in development of the area and people. It will affect in changing the economic scenario of the families in this region.

With this thought, NVV (Nirja Vikas Vardhini) began its journey 18 years ago. Today Nirja Vikas Vardhini has transformed into the Skill Development Organization, with a mission to empower 5-lakh+ women in the upcoming 10-years through Participatory development across Maharashtra. Our aim is to create an exemplary for development that can be replicated at scale across India and perhaps the world.

  • “ BHAT SHETI“ is the main crop in this area which is seasonal crop and in remaining months they don't have any work in hand for income source and for that they need to travel another Tahasil or District.
  • This affects the income of their family and the family get disturb. Children suffer a lot of problems , mainly the educational problems, and health problems.
  • Women from their family also face a lot of problems feel insecure in another area and they don't send their girl child out of house.
  • NVV tries to solve their problems by giving them different skill training options.
  • NVV team when communicate with the girls and women in this area they demand for this training .
  • They don't have any proper trainer or tanning institute in their village.
  • For stitching their clothes they want to travel at Sangamner Tahsil which is time consuming and economically not possible.
  • Girls and women are interested in fashion designing course which also gives them some income .
  • After training they can start their own profession and gives support to their family.
  • Proper climate for Bamboo cultivation in tribal area.
  • Bamboo Craft warli painting is one of the traditional art in this area .
  • People are interested to learn a Bamboo Craft and generate additional income to support their family.
  • Making articles from Bamboo having demand in market.
  • They can work at their home and get income.
  • They can sell their product at BHANDARDARA DAM where a lot of travelers visit in year.
